PDR is the process of removing door dings, hail and other dents from a vehicle without sanding, filling or painting. It is achieved by accessing the panel from behind or via glue pulling. This is accomplished by gaining access to the inside skin of the metal and meticulously massaging the damaged area until the dent is fully repaired.

PDR is achieved by locating the tip of a dent tool into the lowest part of the damage. By carefully exerting pressure, in the correct location, you’ll slowly bring the metal back to its original form.

Example Visualize a flat piece of aluminum foil stretched tightly in all four corners. Next, with a slight amount of pressure, imagine moving your fingernail back and forth on the underside of the foil. You will see the exact position of your nail on the topside in the form of a lightly shadowed protrusion. This allows you to zero in on the desired position from the back-unseen side of the foil. The very same techniques are applicable in the PDR process.
